The Ebuyer Winter Olympics – Game

Aim

To create an open, one-level game based on highest score, which will incorporate gaming characters attempting to obtain Ebuyer products with obstructions along the way and a leaderboard that users can monitor.

Setting the scene

To be launched prior to Christmas, the game will have a Winter Olympics theme with relevant challenges. The idea is that this ‘Olympics’ theme can be developed further for the Summer Olympics 2012.

Suggestions

• Cross-country skiing route challenge measured by distance, where the skier must collect Ebuyer products while avoiding trees or spectators throwing snowballs.
• Toboggan push, again measured by distance, while balancing Ebuyer products on the toboggan.
• Curling push, measured by distance, while avoiding Ebuyer products lined up either side of the curling lane.

Coding Futures

Get ready and arm yourselves for the Coding Futures team are bringing Nerf!

Our challenge is simple, we are bringing 3 APIs with us to Leeds Hack
our Payment API, Partner API and Forex API and we want you to do
something cool, witty or clever with them. We recognise that Payments
can be dull so we are looking for something that makes us smile or
blows our mind maybe both.

What we have to give away, first off anyone who gets a product from
Leeds hack to production we will be giving them 6 months without our
Fees (other gateway fees will still apply).

In addition to that small incentive we also have a selection of Nerf
guns to give away to a winning team or individuals.

So thats £100 in awesome amazon vouchers to split between ya….(and I’m sure we can convince them to chuck in some SMS credit as well )

Just-Eat

Magical Online takeaway website Just-Eat have agreed to come onboard and support our ‘probably stupid’ plans for the evening meal.

Our idea is simple, lets order food from 30-40 seperate takeaways in Leeds… get them all to arrive at the same time and see what happens..

What could go wrong?

We are still working out the logistics of it but we recon its going to be one of the largest takeaway orders ever! It’s awesome Just-Eat have come onboard (I ordered from them last night)
